Shida Kartli - is the east region of Georgia. Shida Kartli, as historical province, is located between Likhi Range and river Aragvi. Administrative center is Gori. The landscape in the region is various. Especially beautiful Trialeti and Likhi ridges; valleys, towers, churches, old settlements are exceptionally attractive.

v Jakob Gogebashvili House Museum in Variani - situated in the former house of famous Georgian public figure, publicist and holy person Jakob Gogebashvili (1840-1912). There are collections of exhibits belonging to Jakob Gogebashvili: His works, memorial things, manuscripts, correspondences, photos, paintings of Georgian artists etc.
v Gori Fortress - This oval citadel stands on the hill at the heart of Gori. The ruins on the northern slope and the archaeological findings indicate that there was a fortress here as far back as the I century BC. The fortress was an important military stronghold of Medieval Georgia.
v Historical-Ethnographic Museum Gori - was founded in 1935. Currently, it houses more than 48,100 exhibits.
v Uplistsikhe Cave Town - located in Eastern Georgia near Gori, is an abandoned rock-hewn town, which once have played an important role in Georgian history. The place was founded in the late Bronze Age, around 1000 BC.
v Samtavisi Cathedral - built in 1030 by architect Hillarion Samtavneli. The church is a domed cruciform structure.
