v Gurjaani - located in the region of Kakheti. The town is one of the centres of Georgia's wine industry. Landmarks include the Church of the Dormition (Kvelatsminda; 8th-9th century), Museum of Local Lore and History, and Museum of Nato Vachnadze. The historic mud-cure resort of Akhtala is not far from Gurjaani.
v Lagodekhi Protected Areas - one of the world’s best-preserved, primitive area with diversity of natural landscapes – is located in Lagodekhi, in the extreme north-eastern part of the southern slopes of the Caucasus and extends at an altitude of 590-3500 m. Lagodekhi Protected Areas includes Lagodekhi Nature Reserve (19749 ha) and Managed Reserve (4702 ha).
v Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino - is a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex. Enclosed in Bodbe Cathedral is the grave of St. Nino, a most remarkable female figure in the early history of Christianity. In the 16-17th centuries Bodbe was the important educational centre.
v Signagi - city of wine and love. It was founded in the 17th century during the reign of King Heraclius II of Georgia. It is famous for its long city walls: there are well preserved 4.5 kilometer of stone walls - which stretch along small mountain ridges.
